Responsibilities and Services

The Department of Human Resources provides employment-related services for Calvert County Government to current and former employees, managers, and the job-seeking public. We provide information regarding employment opportunities and assist with obtaining county government employment.

Our responsibilities include recruitment, examination and selection; health, retirement, and voluntary benefits; employee relations; position classification; safety and risk management; employee training and development; performance evaluation; and pay and leave.

Mission

To develop and administer policies, programs, and systems to support the efficient, effective and lawful use of the county's personnel resources.
