Contact Calvert County Animal Control at 410-535-1600 ex. 2526 to notify them that you have found a lost pet.
Often owners will contact Animal Control and are actively searching in the area for their missing pet. Animal Control Officers can scan an animal for a microchip and can also offer safe housing at the Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter if you are unable to locate the owner on your own.
Post the animal's information to our Facebook page and your community's lost animal social media pages to allow the owner or their family and friends to positively identify the animal.
Contact neighboring animal shelters and local veterinarians to confirm the owner hasn't made a lost animal report.
