Gatewood Preserve offers stunning views and direct access to Battle Creek. Nestled between two county parks, it connects with five miles of trails at Biscoe Gray Heritage Farm. The preserve expands public access to open space for outdoor recreation, including water access, hiking, fishing, and nature study, while also enhancing the protection of Battle Creek and the Patuxent Watershed. The site may eventually become part of a trail linking Prince Frederick to the Patuxent River. The grounds are open daily from dawn to dusk.
