Permit Status Lookup
To look up a permit status in Calvert County, Maryland, residents and businesses can use the county’s Encompass online portal. The portal allows users to view the status of all types of permits, including residential and commercial building, electrical, plumbing, gas, grading and utility permits. It also provides options to schedule inspections, upload documents, pay for permits, manage and print them, and view project details.
How to Use the Encompass Portal Access the portal: Go to the Calvert County Encompass Portal at encompass.calvertcountymd.gov .Log in or register: If you don't have an account and would like to register, please view a brief guide on creating an Encompass account. If you are an applicant, you can log in to your account and track all projects and applications associated with your profile from your dashboard. If you don't have an account, you can still use the portal to search for permits and view its status by clicking "Search" on the main page. Search for a permit: The portal allows you to search by either the permit number or the address of the property.For specific questions, you can contact the Office of Inspections & Permits (I&P) during normal business hours (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)*.
