GIS Data Distribution

The Department of Technology Services is pleased to announce the availability of 2017 computer aided drafting and design (CADD) files for planimetrics and topography. The new CADD files were derived from QL1 high-definition LiDAR and provide a finer, more accurate representation of the terrain.

Calvert County GIS makes several digital datasets available for free download in an ESRI shapefile, ESRI geodatabase or KML format. See our Open GIS Data page for a searchable list of downloadable datasets.

Topographic data is also available for download in a .dwg format based on the Calvert County Topo Tile Grid System (PDF). The topographic data are based on the 2017 aerial photography.

Download the GIS topographic/planimetric data dictionary & layer descriptions (PDF)

Use the interactive map on the Open GIS Data page to find the topo grid of your choice by panning and zooming the map. Click on the map inside the grid you want to download and then click the link in the popup box to retrieve your data.
