NOTE: Updates to the Weather Line are only made in the event of cancellations or delays. Weather cancellations will be available after approximately 3 p.m. on weekdays and by 8 a.m. on weekend days if warranted.
How do I purchase a CCPR jersey?
Jerseys cost are $20 each and can be purchased through your coach. They coaches will collect payment and size information at practice. The reversible blue-and-gray jersey is used for CCPR soccer and basketball and may be used for multiple seasons.
What can I do with old jerseys?
You may donate old jerseys back to CCPR, where they can be offered to families in need. Outdated versions are welcome. These donations can be accepted at any CCPR community center.
How do I know if my game at a Calvert County Public School field is canceled?
Satellite fields and Calvert County Public School (CCPS) fields follow the status of the nearest park field. Please note that field status may vary by sport—for example, a soccer field may be open while a baseball infield is closed. For CCPS fields, always use your best judgment and contact your coach if you need clarification. See map below.
Will lightning and thunderstorms cancel practices or games?
Any visible lightning strikes will require immediate suspension of activity. All patrons should seek immediate shelter. If a game has begun, the game official will determine the cancellation status.
When does rain cancel sports activities?
Player safety is the top priority at Calvert County Parks & Recreation. Field closures are determined by rainfall amounts and soil saturation levels at each location. Closures may vary depending on the type of field and scheduled use. For example, turf fields and baseball/softball fields within the same park may have different closure statuses. Field conditions are evaluated countywide and may differ from park to park.
What is your Inclement Weather Policy?
It shall be the policy of the CCPR to provide safe and playable athletic fields accessible to all citizens of Calvert County and their guests. In order to ensure the safety of all field users and guests at all county controlled recreational facilities, the following guidelines for weather-related activity suspensions or cancellations have been established.
The director of CCPR or their designee shall have sole authority to suspend or cancel any activity on county-controlled recreation facilities, regardless of whether said activities are sponsored by the county or any other non-county or private group.
